when they say "women only", do they mean only those born with 2 "x" chromosomes? if the current proposed legislation changes are approved, all a person born with "xy" chromosomes has to do is say "I am female" and hey presto, their name goes on the list.

Mike and Bernie Winters were not comedians, they were dire. The harsh winters of 1947 and 1963 pale into insignificance compared with those two.
Just googled Mike and Bernie Winters OMG! think Togo must be desperate if he thinks they were funny , that explains a lot . I get more of a laugh from Togos posts.
gulliver, it helps if you read the posts.
\\8.58 & 9.02 remind me of Mike and Bernie Winters........they weren't funny either.//

^Jeremy in drag?
Perish the thought, Naomi.
I've gone right off HH,-with the attitude she's displaying, the type of arrogance & ignorance, I thought she would have known better! The Labour party tried that up in the north east a few years ago and all *** hit the fan.
Does she not realise (yet) that we live in a democracy(I think?) and that any selection for a position should be based on the right person for the job, irrespective of gender, etc.
Shame really, because she has done an excellent job so far.
Naomi, Margaret Beckett later repented and said she was a moron to have nominated Jeremy Corbyn. I have to agree with her.

The problem was that COB could not get the required number of nominations so some Labour MPs lent him their support to 'widen the debate', not thinking he had a cat in hell's chance of winning. Talk about being bitten on the bum.
Corbyn was nominated as a token lefty that had no chance of winning, just to show they were being inclusive.

Oh dear. That didn't turn out well.
Wasting your time there Vulcan. About as astute as amusing that one.
Surely though even if they did do women only lists Harperson would probably not get elected?
To be fair to Margaret Beckett, 34 other Labour MPs also signed Corbyn's nomination form. She is not solely to blame.
Her husband was parachuted into a safe seat........with a women only shortlist. Lol.
11.33 PMSL.
Hazi at 11.21. Thanks. A moment of madness then.
