a lot are French nationals as a result of the glorious French Empire - the North African colonies were made part of metropolitan France.
Dual nationalities - I am not sure if depriving them of one ( french) which is lawful under international law and then deporting them back to their other one would stand up to scrutiny from the ECJ.
and is this REALLY an English column saying something must be done about an incident in S W France ? I thought it was more about honouring someone who gave up his life so that others could live.
[2005 - the British Transport Police ran away and the firemen refused / failed to go into the tunnels - the Hallett report makes really depressing reading]
