I want to buy a car part from Uk but I now live in Finland and the seller wont accept any other payment than a bank transfer .I want to use Paypal but they have a limit far below the cost of the part or Mastercard but because that is issued by a Finnish bank they wont take that as they say it is hard to verify .So my question is as with the other two methods do I have any recourse if there is a problem with the part if I pay by bank transfer? Just to preempt the next question ,I have tried to find another but it seems this might be the only one in Europe .
"So my question is as with the other two methods do I have any recourse if there is a problem with the part if I pay by bank transfer?" I doubt it very much!
Can you clarify as to where you're buying this from??
Is it a reputable seller (and by that, I don't mean a reputable seller on Ebay, etc).
I'd be VERY dubious about buying something, when the seller tells you that they'll only accept a bank transfer.
I think the answer to your question is no.
How much are you paying for the part by the way??
Thanks for the answers ,Yes they say they will accept paypal but only up to 200 pounds ,I thought of asking for them to bill me for parts and then assembly up to the amount but I have since found a reconditioned one in Germany . So not the only one thankfully .
