Make sure it is well mixed. You may also add chopped fresh coriander, and use fresh crusty bread for a dip!
You can also make chick peas into a paste, add a little beaten egg, some salt and pepper, maybe some chopped fresh coriander and drop them into hot olive otl until golden, drain and srve with some healthy soup. Yum yum!
Try a dhal recipe, most of them work with any pulse. My favourite is a tarka dhal with chickpeas. Cook the chickpeas if they're dried, if you're using canned them you're good to go already. Heat a small amount of oil or ghee and fry some onions and some curry powder, I make my own curry powder but some of the bought ones aren't too bad. Once the onions have softened add the chickpeas, a small amount of water and basically simmer until you reach the desired consistency. In a separate pan fry some onions and garlic until brown and crispy then add to the dhal. Some people aren't keen on burnt garlic and if you aren't leave it out.
Eat with naan bread or chapatis...
