Basic Tablet
15 Answers
I would like to get myself a basic tablet. I wont be gaming or watching films, downloading music or suchlike.
Basically it'll be for emails, using google earth/maps etc.
I know nothing about tablets and was pointed in the direction of a 'Cube iPlay 10'.
Does anyone know anything about this model? Would it suit my needs, or do you think it's rubbish?
If so do you have any other recommendations?

However the question of 'what's the best budget tablet?' comes up time and time again here on AB and there seems to be general agreement that the Amazon Fire 7 is incredibly good value for money. (It's £49.99 for the 8 GB model but an extra tenner gets you the better 16 GB one). If you want a bigger screen (with higher definition) the Amazon Fire HD 8 might also be worth considering. (£79.99 for the 16 GB version or an extra tenner for 32 GB).
The Cube iPlay 10 compares well in reviews though but you need to note that most suppliers are outside of the EU (so you'll get clobbered for imports charges on top of the advertised price). see here:
