It seems to cost thousands of pounds ,and was wondering where all the money comes ftom

Which channel is it on- BBC or a coomercial channel. Anyway, these programmes are really cheap to produce compared with say a period drama where you need actors, costumes, maybe some horses...

I think the TV channel usually pay unless they say otherwise.

They do a fair bit of product placement too which will generate some revenue. But as previously answered, this genre of programme is quite cheap to produce airtime which is generally popular, and will get good ad break revenue. Therefore it probably is profitable.

Don't know, but this weeks must have cost a small fortune.The rockery alone had several hundred plants.

They also get a lot of stuff donated by local firms, often it says something like 'plants donated by ABC landscapes' so they get the publicity.

it gives folks an unrealistic expectation..unless you have 100k budget and a 20 man team to do it !
