How Can Labour Lance This Boil?......do They Want To? .....what Now For Labour?

COB's meeting with Jewish leaders has been "disappointing". Should Labour now expel all the anti semites to clean up the party or should they simply be honest with the electorate and declare that they are infected with anti semitism and leave it up to the voters?

I think they'll be watching what they say and how they express themselves in front of (non-Muslim) core supporters at public meetings, TTT. I guess many core supporters are anti-Zionist anyway and won't mind hearing Israel being attacked. In less public meetings with Labour activists from the Muslim community they're probably going to hear more overtly anti-Jewish sentiments expressed (like examples in your New Statesman link), and in the face of these (I'm suggesting) they're going to maintain a prudent silence.
As a gloss on the terminology, did you see a BBC program a year or two ago about the Israel/Palestinian conflict in which children on either side were interviewed? The BBC's interpreters had the Palestinian kids referring consistently to the nasty "Israelis", whereas it was obvious (even without knowing any Arabic) that "Israeli" wasn't the word the kids were using at all.

23.00, This thread was posted to try and discredit the Labour Party ,because its looking like they could be our next Government. Whilst throwing a smoke screen over the Conservatives with their troubles like the Windrush affair, Amber Rudd , about to go , in order to save TM, then the DUP , threatening to bring TM down over the Irish border via Brexit. Who's head will roll first ?, lets face it the Cons are in a load of soap and bubble, perhaps that is why this thread has gone quiet
Gulliver, if you feel the Tory's are not being slated enough then raise a specific thread to debate a particular issue.
This one is about Labour and it's anti sematic issues. A real problem for labour.
Can your attempt to derail from the issue and your silence be taken to mean tacit agreement of many of Labours supporters anti sematic views?
