There are a total of 66 Books in the King James Bible and those translations using the King James as a basis. There are 39 in the Old Covenant and 27 in the New...
The Catholic Old Testament, however, derives its books from the Alexandrian Canon, which contains 14 or 15 additional books that are collectively known as the �apocrypha,� which simply means �hidden.� Three are not included in the Catholic Bible.
