I hear that if u put lemon juice in ur hair it makes it blonder is this true? Because I didnt have any lemons so I used it from a bottle like the stuff u put on pancakes if u know what I mean? Is this safe and will it make my hair blonder if I comb it through and lay out in the sun???
I did the exact same thing today, including the part about not having any lemons and using the stuff in the lemon shaped bottle haha! I have mousey brown hair which naturally gets a bit lighter in the sun but i wanted to make it more noticable like highlights, the lemon juice didn't appear to work at all- so if any1s got any tips on how to make it work better id be really grateful and im sure kezia would be. Also i don't want to use sun-in because it made my sisters hair(which is similar)go ginger!
lemon juice definitely works but make sure you check your hair after applying. I once spent an afternoon on a beach with half a dozen pips stuck to my head.
Go to Lush where they have lemon and chamomile based hair masks, shampoos and other hair care designed specifically for that purpose without drying or damaging your hair.
I have blonde hair and I use lemon juice, and it makes my natural hghlights appear lighter. You have to apply small amounts of lemon juice (whhc i squezze from a lemon) to the parts of your hair which you wish to appear lighter. You then leave it in for a couple of hours, and during that time you either blow dry your hair or lay out in the sun. Make sure you wash it out straight after a couple of hours, otherwise it ruins you hair. x
