Those who saw the last one can see the latest international comparison list here (2016 statistics)

At no.23, with quite a few countries doing better (some of them a bit unexpected - take the number one for a start), the NHS/UK is after all not the world's best - how facts spoil assumptions.

The link doesn't work
Also shows how we are still a divided country - North v South.
Remember though non of the other countries offer a 'free' world health service.
how are they measuring 'quality' ?
Good point about ‘free’ health care as opposed to paid .

However I would like to see a comparison of waiting times, outcomes and range of treatments.

Actually by waiting times I don’t mean time taken for initial referral and first consultation, more of time from initial referral to treatment.

The question is implied above: Is it better to have an absolutely free everything as opposed to requiring some contribution from the patient when (as the statistics state) the outcome is going to be unsatisfactory, even with early death ? I know something about several of the top ten systems where some items are charged for but most of consultation and treatment is free. Apologies for the bad dot.
