What can I do when I am off work for a fortnight
3 Answers
I am off on holiday in 2 weeks time for a fortnight and although my boyf and I aren't going anywhere we are looking for some inspiration of where we can go for a day out or even an overnight stay.
I live in Glasgow but we have a car so could travel if we had to. We don't have a lot of money to spend only about 250 so any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks in advance

Hi wee kaz - have a look at the events on the VisitScotland site http://www.visitscotland.com -click an area - highland games calender, outdoor events, places to visit, - all listed for the regions.
Got a tent? How about a couple of days to Islay or Mull? and just chuck the tent anywhere that takes your fancy. (if you haven't one - there are asome really well priced ones at places like Asda, Argos and even Halfords that will do for summer use, or borrow one from a pal)
YHA is a good way to see places too - remember the midges if you go into the countrsyside by the way! Take the BugOff with you. . .
THis is a handy site as well for what to do - lists events all round the UK but just put in postcode or a region and theres tons of ideas. http://www.wherecanwego.com/?gclid=CKmFhcS1oIY CFUFsEQodals8tw
Have a nice break. .

Have you ever thought about one of the day trips on the Waverly? Its not too expensive (20 odd) and if you get a nice weather it's a good way to take advantage of the sun. Or, you could take a trip to one of the islands, Arran or Millport or something. Unless you get seasick, in which case my ideas are pretty poor...
