I sincerely hope so. The original EU, though not known by that name, was formed from the six most prosperous economies in western Europe. It has now expanded to 28 countries, including basket-cases such as Bulgaria and Romania, who leech off the rest of us like vampire bats. Mark my words, I wouldn't be surprised to see Zimbabwe on the next list of members. Thank God for Brexit.
Pride comes before a fall and those that get too big for their boots get taken down a peg or two eventually.
Unless the EU seriously reforms it is just a matter of time before its bubble is well and truly punctured.
I imagine the result of the referendum would have been very different if it had not been so undemocratic, dogmatic and actually listened to what people want rather than the elite.
Never mind.
The Daily Wail now has a pro-Remain editor.
Which more than makes up for a few crackpots :-)(none of whom as far as I can see actually want to leave the EU, and as for the Euro, the most ‘Euro’ sceptic country is Italy and even there most people - understandably - want to keep it
They may not spend time on Brexit but that is most certainly where the focus is.
The EU is like most official bodies it has grown into a lumbering monolith ruled by a few elites for their own visions/purposes, almost dictatorial. It is inevitable that something will happen at some point but what and when who knows.
