Would This Ever Happen In The U.k.?

I'd shut them all if I had my way and I don't care how controversia l that sounds! I hate the way they have sprouted up all over my country. Good on Austria.

No it wouldn’t.
For decades money from the mad Wahabbis in Saudi Arabia has flooded into the UK funding new mosques. They are a bad influence and that should never have been allowed to happen.
But the Saudis are our allies, so we close our eyes to their brutal dictatorship, their torture and oppression of its own people, and its genocidal wars.
Kicking out a few Saudi sponsored Imans, and closing their establishments would be a good move, but it won’t happen in a million years.

The Manchester bomber was a regular worshipper at just such a Saudi funded mosque.
Not that Andy Burnham would try to join up the dots. Nor Amber Rudd and her predecessor at the Home Office. And its latest incumbent won't give much of a damn either, will he?
As Gromit and I are (unusually) on the same side on this issue I wonder what we can jointly do about it?

VE,
The Saudis have lots of money, so they can buy influence in Whitehall.
All we can do is highlight (at every opportunity) the hypicrisy of our politicians, who profess to be serious about fighting terrorism, and then smooze with the duplicitous Arabs in the Saudi Embassy. MPs should stop taking up the invites, but they are essentially greedy, self interested charalatans who cannot resist a freebie.
