These past two days Net Flix has been acting funny. It takes ages to start and when I eventually get the film I'm watching to play it goes off. It buffers for about half a minute then the film plays for half a minute then the same again. It obviously is not worth watching when it's like this. Can anything be done to get it back to normal please. Cheers Chris

There are four possible causes that I can think of: 1. An inadequate download speed. (You seem to have eliminated that possibility) ; 2. A poorly-specified computer. (That seems to be irrelevant here too) ; 3. Something on your computer is hogging most of its resources. (That's certainly a possibility. Malware can do it but other software, particularly...

Yes that's more than enough. I wonder if some-else is also using your broadband.

The PC is quick enough. Is there anyone whom I could call re Netflix??
Just because you get that speed on your laptop/PC etc doesn't mean that's what you are getting on your TV. We often have a similar problem with Netflix etc and have to go into our TV settings and disconnect and then reconnect the internet for it to pick up the full wifi signal.
There are four possible causes that I can think of:

1. An inadequate download speed. (You seem to have eliminated that possibility) ;

2. A poorly-specified computer. (That seems to be irrelevant here too) ;

3. Something on your computer is hogging most of its resources. (That's certainly a possibility. Malware can do it but other software, particularly anti-virus programs, can be the cause). We might need to investigate that further if the following doesn't help . . .

4. You need to clear your browser's cache. (It's a common problem with repeated use of streaming services, whether that be Netflix or something like Youtube). Instructions here, if you need them:

Thank you for that Buenchio it's working normally again. My problem is that whilst I use the PC often ,we are now on Windows 10 and I E is the browser, I don't have much of a clue as to how things work or run. I'm too old I suppose. Prior to Windows 10 I used to go to internet options quite easily and de-frag as well but these options seem to have gone into hiding.
