Elderly Cat

Our cat is 18 and is in decent health but can't wee INSIDE her litter tray! I think it might be that she can't squat down as before and so it ends up over the side of the tray.
Have any of you come across this problem, and if so, how did you solve it?

My four cats regard my neighbours' gardens as litter trays, so I'm probably not much help here! However either an extra large litter tray or a covered one (as in my link below) might help to solve the problem. Amazon.co.uk User Recommendati on

I had exactly the same problem with my much younger cat. So I bought a very very large litter tray with a cover. Unfortunately he insists on backing up until he feels the inside of the cover and then either pees or poos down the inside. I now have to buy these massive Jumbo plastic covers so that he dirties those and not the tray itself. Nightmare and he will only do his business in his litter tray and not outside which is good for my neighbours. So Horseshoes if I were you, I think I might go for the newspaper first and see how you get on before spending money. Good luck.
