Following on from sexyairhead's thread.....which i thought she was unfairly flamed for asking a sensible question, i noticed a lot of the ladies (well i hope they were) were all saying that's it's so nice to see kids running around as nature intended.

But i felt i couldn't post the same as i'm a bloke. I have an 8 year old daughter and it was great seeing her running round the garden starkers when she was smaller.

But, there was a barrier put up when you immediately mention men and naked kids and it felt horrible. It would be interesting to hear from blokes who would feel the same and are we panicing over nothing ladies ?

Lighten up hammer man, I did say that sentance tongue in cheek hence the "lol" at the end of the sentance.
hammerman - B00 was only kidding hon! She wasnt being stroppy or offended honest. (Trust me, if B00 was annoyed at you, you would know about it lol)
I should have said that as well, our B00 is always a delight,
she don't get the hump often, but as mycats says, she won't hold back if she does.
The world has gone mad! I know of a brilliant dad who stopped bathing his own daughter because of all the stuff in the papers etc. He felt wrong!!! doing this. His wife was at her wit's end trying to explain that that's OK, it's normal to bath and hold your own child. I feel only sympathy for today's dads who can't get anything right. As a middle aged mum who was cuddled and loved to bits by both parents, I feel sad for the next generation.
PS--did you know that if your child falls and hurts their knee at playgroup, they can't give them a cuddle--to make it better?

hammerman ~ she is your daughter...you shouldn't feel like this at all. Mr Pippa bathes our daughters (9 & 5) but these days tries to get them to wash & dry their own 'bits'...but this is because he wants to teach them some independence.

You needn't feel any awkwardness touching your kids. Physical handling of this kind is essential when raising kids ~ it teaches them to appreciate parental love & how to show this to others in later life. Go give them a hug!
