Verbatim Dvd Discs

Hi, bought verbatim dvd- rw discs brand new sealed from a car boot sale I put them in my dvd recorder but it says disc error or unrecordable but I can record from other makes is there anything I can try to get them to record. thanks

I've never had any problems with any flavour of Verbatim discs, in fact they're my preferred brand. Have you bought non-genuine discs perhaps?

Not done owt with dvd disks for years so I may be way off here; but can you start to use them on a different PC. Maybe the dvd equivalent of a format ? Then go back to your dvd recorder ?

I've had problems in the past with Verbatim CDs and DVDs - in fact a friend once gave me a box as he couldn't get them to work, nor could I.

Can your recorder use DVD-RW or is it just DVD+RW - they are different.

thanks for your reply Old-Geezer I have started them on my computer and then put them into my dvd recorder and they have worked. thanks
