how fast does hair grow

im growing my hair, have been for 18 months. Decided to get the dead ends snipped off but she cut about an inch off!!! my hair feels well short now...bit gutted actually...so wondering how long hair takes to grow?

an inch will take about about 6-8 weeks to grow, not long at all, an inch is nothing if you havent been gettting regular trims. If you go every 8 weeks then you can have just the littlest bits taken off.
