real orange juice

can anyone tell me where i can buy REAL orange juice? you know..that actually tastes like orange juice! im fed up with all this tropicana rubbish! help!

A juicer is a great machine - and as above the 'half pressing' style is as good if you don't want to spend money on a juicer that will only be used for the occasional juice and not for loads of drinks all the time, like lots of fruit cups, vege drinks etc.
Valencia or Navel are good ones. Warming the orange or even just rolling on a counter top will give more juice. Green shading on an orange also means the orange is ripe - the natural chlorophyll in the skin shows when the orange has been very warm, so the juice is likely to be sweeter as well.
And if you do use a 'half fruit' juicer - keep the squeezed out shell - rinse and use as 'cups' for ice cream or fruit cups, fill with fresh fruits, or even use as a side dish for a fresh salad for the bbq., or fill with candle wax or grate the skin and keep the zest - freezes well - for flavouring.
Oranges are usually sold with residue of pesticide or fungicide, so if you are using the zest, make sure they are well washed - vinegar is a cheap and effective cleanser.
If you do get a juicer, make sure also it's one that can be easily cleaned - the filters can be a pain - and with a good powerful motor to handle tough veg too.
