Banning Beggars From Sitting Next To Cash Machines
40 Answers
I am in total agreement with this ban in Wales. I find it very intimidating with beggars sitting beside cash machines and I know other people do, What do other Abers think?

It's intimidation just being there. Some may opt for the inconvenienc e of having to find another hole- in- the- wall. Seems reasonable to tolerate begging elsewhere but not where folk are going to be psychologica lly vulnerable. People should be able to give if they wish, but not made to feel guilt ridden and obliged.

ummmm, //Naomi - you've never encountered someone saying 'can you spare some change?' //
Yes I have, but not in our local town. As I said I've never seen anyone begging there.
Peter Pedant, rather than butting in with your usual unbridled enthusiasm, it would be far more courteous if you waited for me to answer questions put to me. That way you'll make fewer mistakes.
