Oh no! We once had a 'Northern Lights' experience like that. How frustrating!

Yes Naomi. Problem is, here out West it is forecast to be cloudy and raining, so no chance of a good view. Times of the event below. There is a 20minute difference between Northern and Southern Britain.

South of England times:
20:50pm the full moon begins to rise from the South East appearing red in colour
21:21pm is the time of maximum eclipse when the moon will appear at it’s deepest red
22:13pm total eclipse ends moon starts to lose it’s red colour.

North of England times:
21:10pm the full moon begins to rise from the South East appearing red in colour
21:41pm is the time of maximum eclipse when the moon will appear at it’s deepest red. 22:33pm total eclipse ends moon starts to lose it’s red colour

We have waited for rain for the garden for ages and when does it occur ? When something worth observing in the heavens is to occur also.

Cloud always stops these sort if things here, anyway; so no surprise there then.

Besides we'll only get the Blood Moon during moonrise in the UK.
