Which provider to use? I am going to get broadband in a few weeks, and was wondering which provider to go with. I can't get cable, but I can get BT. Was wondering if anybody can advise on who to go with. Preferably a company that doesn't have a cap on the amount of info you can download! Cheers.

I have been with them for just over 2 years and in all of that time I have never even considered switching providers. Whenever there has been a problem of any kind I have always been kept well informed and their Customer Service is generally excellent. Quick responses, GOOD!! responses and very helpful (you get the idea)
Pings in games are usually around 30-40, download speed is about 55k/s during the day and in the wee hours of the morning, it can top 60k/s.
I have recommended them to a few friends who have also had no complaints.

Oh, and no cap on the amount you download.
best independent resource for broadband is www.adslguide.org allows you to comapre different ISPs. It really depends what you want it for, Plus.net have had problems over the last 6 months or so with too many subscribers though I believe this was mainly with the dial up service, they also don't like you using the home services to run a business through. I would recommend you check out the following:

I changed to plus.net broadband from ntl cable a few months ago. The changeover was easy and the customer service people seemed knowledgable. There has been no interruption of service at all and the speed is really good. Ntl had a big problem with packet loss but plus.net is fine - no problems at all.
