Why isn't Rock Salmon available where I live in Yorkshire? It is readily available all year round in Fish and Chip shops down south.

smoneybags, while cod and haddock aren't in a very healthy state in some waters especially the North Sea some countries,Iceland for example, have been managing their fishing grounds very efficiently for years with the result while it might not be as common as it once was there is still enough to sustain a fairly healthy fishing industry.
Hi smoneybags,
Did you find any Rock Salmon in West Yorkshire? Did you try telephoning some from yellow pages or asking the fish suppliers? If you find any let me know. Wetherby whaler has plaice and catch has halibut but expensive. Chipmunks in Lincolnshire is good and loads around Bourne and Cambridge areas. As you say, not finding any in Yorkshire yet. Nuneaton and Tamworth as well as Sheffield have "Roe" (fish heads) though my diet currently could do with less fish.
