Not heard most of it so will defer proper judgement, but it would be, surely, rather easier for him to be taken seriously if he didn't engage in hyperbole so often. I mean "we've accomplished more than any other administration in US history" is both demonstrably false and not even a necessary boast in order for him to look good. In principle he could simply stress the potential progress on North Korea and be content -- but, for some reason, that's not Trump's style.
It can't look good for the US if its leader is basically not taken seriously on the world stage, and that comment prompted laughter and merriment -- detracts from whatever meaningful points he had to make.
