emmillyR, try to stay away from planning your trip around the 4th of July,it's a huge holiday,as families/friends try to get together then...other than that, it is considered one of the months included in the height of summer travel,and could prove to be more expensive--just like anyplace else booked during one of those times of year. Other months which might be expensive are Winter (Nov.-Feb.) We've always found pretty good flight prices on Onetravel.com,you might check them out. By the way, I'm American living in Cardiff,Wales--I hope you have a great time in the US! There are loads of cool places to see besides the usual: NYC,Florida,California,Las Vegas..honestly. AND, your money will go further as the British Pound Sterling is worth almost twice as much as one US Dollar :) Ta
