I found the first episode quite confusing. Will stick with it, but not very hopeful.

I really struggled with it being set in the 70's. It felt so dated and as you say, quite confusing. There have been so mny great dramas recently that I might give this one a miss.

Only managed 20 minutes. The setting in the 70s was very well realised, but rather depressing, and, after 'losing' several hours watching recent TV dramas I thought there is no way I'm going to invest a further 5 hours in this. 'Trust' was one of the others.

I love Le Carre's books but recall this one being hard work. I started to watch Berlin Station the other night, mistaking it for a Le Carre, it was very confusing, I'll give it another episode though.

Don't know if this will be accessible. Strange how some people thought it was really good, but so far, on A/B, the views have been negative.

I'm a great Le Carré fan and this is a super story. If you liked "Tinker, Tailor..." and the BBC has done a proper job on this story, you'll love it.

And I loved Charlie, although it's too long ago to remember how far the BBC interpretation matches my memory from the book.

Don't blink or you could miss something relevant. I recorded it and watching it again, noticed several things that enabled me to make sense of some of the later scenes. The bad guy and the good guy are too similar in appearance and it is easy to confuse them, and both of them sport distinctive gold watches. A green jacket is also noticeable!

I loved the fact that when the young girl was hitchhiking, I was saying to myself, “ooh, that’s dangerous.” Yet back in the 60s and 70s, it was widely done.
