Why Are They Still Selling Poppies?
84 Answers
This morning, Tuesday 13th November, there was an official poppy seller still selling them in Sainsbury's. What on earth is all that about? (I wanted to post something stronger but feared it would be removed)

You don't actually buy a poppy, you make a donation to the RBL and if you wish you take a poppy. The "official poppy sellers", as you call them set up their stands before commemoration day to receive the money to boost the RBL's funds. Collecting goes on all year round because it is a charity.
