Self - moderating

Hello AB ED, u may not know me very well but I am a consistent contributor to this site. i would like to ask a question about the self moderation ethos on this site. I know you have appointed a part-time moderator, and i am sorry i had to turn the offer down, i am way to busy as i explained, but I would also suggest that the vast majority of this, the AB community, as cyber as it is and as pixel fickle as it is wont to be, have a very conspicuous grasp on reality, and on what is banter, annoyance and good fun. As we all have the opportunity and choice to report any post that we deem unsuitable for a variety of listed reasons, might I suggest further that if a sufficient number of ab users feel that a particular user has, repeatedly, offended and insulted other an users, in not just a personal way, but in a vicious and offensive way. we should not be allowed to hang them from the nearest oak tree, i myself have no experience in public (or private) hangings, but I feel that venting one's spleen in mere lexis is not sufficient on this site and I think, as amateur but invited moderators, ( not to mention unpaid, guys u have no idea of the salary i was offered) we should have the option of cyber hanging drawing and quartering such offenders, or at least sitting them in the naughty corner for a short while.

i agree with jno - i think ther is too much censorship on here, people seem to just report, report, report, most of the time its unnecessary and very irritating when things just disappear
