I dont think the family's of his victims need his face on their tv screens, upsetting them and making him infamous.Just let him rot in jail for the crimes he has commited and lives he has spoilt, without any tv minuites. How would you feel if it was one of your children that he had murdered, would you like to see his face on your tv or would you just like to get on with your life

So sorry to all Families/Friends of the mudered girls. I was about 14 yrs old and my Dad was a Policeman in Manchester at this time. I remember seeing notices about 'have you seen this girl' with Wanda Skala's picture on. I remember that we looked very much alike. Years passed and I always wondered if Wanda had been found. This has been on my mind for many years. Then yesterday was looking on the web and found this site. Now I know what happend to poor Wanda and the other poor girls. Killed at a very young age. My sincere condolences to all the girls Families and Friends. He must rot in jail.
brought up in Newton Heath. The old properties are now demolished I was a teenager when he was murdering young girls.sharon was found at the back of morrisons supermarket(failsworth) for those who know the area will know from oldchurch st bridge its 5min walk to where sharon was found.
I lived on fildes st newton heath working mens is now built at what was the bottom of our street. at the top of the street was droylesden rd. the houses were part empty because they were ready to be pulled down. some families had already been re-housed. we were still there at the time of the murders.hardy WAS SQUATTING in one of these houses. one on droylesden rd. its rear was a shared back entry with fildes st, where i lived. we al knew squatters were there. FACT! i am the elder sister of the person he chased for being CHEEKY. IT WAS NOT A MALE CHILD HE CHASED it was a 14 year old girl. my sister , was my mother who saw him off. most families from the slum clearence were re-housed on what is now lightbowne which was part building site at time of murders. the top part where the kestrel pub is was still under constructon.wanda's end was mainly built it was near here that wanda was found. wanda's brother peter still lives in the area. HARDY never murdered dorothy leyden, he was questioned ,later dna would proove he did not murder dorothy whose body was found at the rear of what was then the forresters pub at the top of harpurhey rd. i personally know wanda's brother and there was a rumour going around that hardy was to be released. this is untrue. wanda's brother says he as the home office letter stating hardy will never be released. shealah farrow did some kind of deal with the police, at first she gave hardy a alibi. details not sure about. she was squatting wth him, so was a third person rarely mentioned, his real name escapes me, but was known locally as barny one eye.. he also not charged but gave false alibi. I knew bev driver the girl hardy claimed was his girlfriend,

bev driver was not one of hardys victims. the girl found off oldham rd, was found on waste ground on church lane. was a tip at one time. its now known as moston vale. the land was between moston brook high school, now demolished and church lane. her name was julie, cant remember her surname, wanda was a very pretty young woman, she was working behind the bar in the lightbowne pub to get extra money, she was saving.
he will not be released he is on the home office list of them that will not be released.. lesley was found near church lane i think, what is now called moston vale. sharon was found at the back of morrisons failsworth on the canel bank. wanda was found on what is lightbowne estate near her home. the estate was still under construction and some houses still being built. wanda's parents were broken, as im sure all the girls families were. he was and is an animal what he did to them girls. families who have suffered one of their loved ones murdered never get over it, and time does not heal. my nephew was murdered august 16th 2008, he was 16. but his killer will get out one day.
Hi there,
I just wanted to post on this site as I'm a researcher for a TV production company, called True North Productions. We’re a Leeds based company, with a lot of experience of making important crime and observational documentaries with sensitivity and integrity. We’ve made shows for broadcasters all over the world, including the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Five, National Geographic, Discovery, Sky and The History Channel.
At the moment, we’re currently producing a new six part crime documentary series entitled ‘Not For Release’. Britain’s prisons and secure hospitals are full of cold-blooded killers, evil psychopaths and the criminally insane, whose shocking, murderous exploits left a trail of death and destruction behind them. However there are 34 men and one woman, whom the Government insist will die behind bars. Within the judicial system, they’re referred to as “NFR”, or “Not For Release”. Throughout each film we will explore who are the members of this exclusive list of barbaric killers, what were their terrible crimes - and why are they considered so dangerous, that they can never be allowed to walk Britain’s streets again, even when they’re old and infirm?
One of the cases we're looking to feature is the case of Trevor Hardy, so we've very keen to speak to any family members of Janet, Wanda and Sharon. Please be aware we are a long standing Yorkshire TV company, who are not looking to sensationalise this case in anyway or glorify Trevor Hardy. The film's main focus is to explore why criminals like Hardy, should remain behind bars for the rest of their lives and understand why it is necessary.
True North have produced a large number of crime documentaries, including three Panorama specials and countless “real crime” shows and like any programme we make, we will tell the story from a neutral, unbiased perspective - we are looking to tell the facts surrounding the case tastefully and respectfully, but also to remember Janet, Wanda and Sharon for the people they were.
If any family and friends, would be happy to speak to me, please feel free to contact me via [email protected] or alternatively via 0113 394 5489
If you’d like to check me out first – which I perfectly understand – please feel free to call True North’s Chief Executive, Glyn Middleton, on 0113 394 5494.
Please also find a link to our company website where you can find examples of our work: www.truenorth.tv
Many thanks to everyone for taking the time to read this.

Hello
I am also posting on this site because I am part of a small team working on a documentary for a TV production company Twofour Broadcast (www.twofour.co.uk). Based in Plymouth we make programmes for the world's leading broadcasters.
We are making a new documentary about Trevor Joseph Hardy. The focus of the documentary is to try to answer the argument of nature versus nurture. We question the true impetus and drive of the crimes rather than glorifying events.
We aim to sensitively commemorate the victims of the crimes and those who were instrumental in bringing the killer to justice. The previous series’ have had positive feedback from previous contributors, especially those of the victims’ relatives and survivors and we aim to continue to work sensitively with all our contributors for the forthcoming series.
We are looking to tell the human side of the story and how it affected many different people. We want this to be a well-balanced, sensitive and informative programme, ideally with stories from survivors, police, experts in the case, bystanders at the time and former friends or neighbours who knew Hardy too.
The narrative will also be supported with a criminal psychologist’s evaluation and we will attempt to answer whether a person like Hardy is born to kill or whether nurture has had an effect.
If any family or friends of Janet, Wanda or Sharon would consider talking to me, it would really help us to remember them all in the many positive ways that have been mentioned throughout the comments on this site. My direct line is 01752 727460 and my email is [email protected].
I would also be interested in talking to the people who knew or remembered Hardy in his younger years to help to build a picture of the type of person he was as he grew up.
If you would like to see an example of our work I am more than happy to send you a link to two previous documentaries we have made.

My name is Billy Burke and I took part in the well acclaimed and professionally made TV series When Life Means Life series about Trevor Joseph Hardy. I was only 16 at the time and unfortunately I never went to the funeral. I just need the cemetery address, so I can pay my respects. R. I. P. Janet Lesley Stewart.
