82. Brunel was a native of Telford

Thanks Danny. However I cannot find evidence of Brunel living in Telford.
Sorry, I thought that was the connection. However there is a Brunel Road in Telford.

Indeed Danny.I wonder if it is any association with Thomas Telford.
There was some interaction between BRunel and Thomas Telford:-
//Brunel submitted four designs to a committee headed by Thomas Telford, but Telford rejected all entries//
I suspect that the connection (if there is one) has more to do with Thomas Telford than with the town of Telford. T

elford won the competition to design and build a bridge across the Avon but only because he was also the judge of the competition; it was only after considerable public outcry that he backed down and awarded the prize to Brunel. I can't really see how that makes Brunel a 'Telfordian' but there are some very strange quiz-setters around!

I couldn't agree more.
I thought it was hurricane on wheels. No-one mentioned hot ones!
I hope the sheep haven't followed the first answer!
Well done if you've found your Telfordian, it's quite a challenge with that letter count.
