Maybe I'm v only one to think this way, but i never knew just how popular ipods are. Are ipods really that good? sound quality? Is the new ipod mini worth �200, or r u paying for the name. Are there any better alternative mp3 players to buy?

I would recommend you check out the Creative Zen Jukebox - they range from about �200 for a 30Gb player to �280 for a 60Gb (yes, no typo, sixty Gig) player. My brother-in-law was going for an iPod (he owns a Powermac btw) but picked one of these up instead and is chuffed to bits with it. Much better value for money when compared to, say, the 40Gb iPod at �370 and works fine on an Apple PC with Windows (as well as, obviously, a standard PC with MS Windows).
