Plumber Threatening Towards Me

A plumber came to my house for a call out and became hostile towards me when it turned out his services were not required. I fully understand that a callout fee is required regardless and would have reluctantly paid it (still will no doubt have to). However, when I said I didn't have any money on my person he started swearing at me for wasting his time and his body language made me think he might attack me physically. I felt threatened and asked him to leave, fortunately he did. I'm still on edge from this though. How should I deal with this, if at all?

I've only called a plumber that I didn't know once and they sent me an invoice.

I also used to work for a plumber and he did the same, everything was invoiced.

Sounds like this plumber wanted to be paid the cash.
I've never, ever not paid a workman before he's left the house, unless he has to come back to finish the job. It really wouldn't occur to me not to, unless he's a friend of ours and Mr RR has made arrangements to pay him round the pub.
god are we still at this?
hasnt the plumber gone off in a huff yet?

being called out and being greeted wivva

Ring the company he's contracted for and complain.
he may be a sole trader
