Feline's are naturally carnivorous surely this will lead to digestion problems and malnutrition. Whilst I respect the lady's right to feed herself how she wants surely this demonstrates huge arrogance to assume a cat would live happily on a non natural diet.

There are now vegan foods being manufactured for cats. They are supplemented with taurine and other necessary nutrients needed by cats. Obviously, if a vegan really wants his cat to be vegan, the animal would have to be kept indoors...always. This is totally against the animal's instincts. They claim to care about animals, but yes, they are cruel.

The owner should throw a bit of chicken and a slice of carrot onto the floor and see which one the cat eats. Bit of a no brainer really.

The cat's ( unless their kept indoors ) will just go and adopt another human that feeds them proper stuff.

I think, if a cat was offered veg, it would just walk away and kill something in most cases.

Given the nature of the question I hesitate to say this, but it’s nuts! You can bet your boots that once outside any cat will hook itself a tasty morsel in the shape of a mouse or an unsuspecting bird.

Quite a lot of cat foods have veg in them nowadays... but feeding a cat a vegan diet is not as cruel as not feeding it at all
