Thanks for the link, i think the answer may be Westminster Hall, im still not sure about the monument question as well as i cant think of another word for my other than mon etc,
You don't half make things difficult for us, kelster. In the clue you gave for the 'monument one you didn't mention 'my' but now you base your answer on the (french) word for 'my'
What was the exact clue please.
Did you resolve the "pickle" one from my clue? Of course I could be wrong and it could be Piccalilli Circus
The diary clue should have got you most of the way for the clue that ends in "illicit looks"- what do you have so far?

Thanks for promising to let us know when you get the full list of answers, although of course that could be months away as the closing date isn't known.
Question Author
Sorry yes i listed the monument question wrong, the clue was meant to read: D.A. My, type of turn not allowed, untended. I think the answer is The Monument and im not sure about the "illicit looks" question,
Ah- so you are saying "D.A. Abbreviate saint. Edifice. " should actually have read "D.A. My, type of turn not allowed, untended". A bit of a wild goose chase there then. Perhaps this is another reason why I'm the only one left trying to help.
Actually, to fit the answer it would have to be "intended" not "untended". The Monument was correct.
Question Author
Yes, that is the question i meant to enter, also a few of the questions set seem to have slight typing errors so this may be why the answers are confusing,
All the answers make sense when I see them once the printed clues are given. Do we know when the answers are due? I thinks as this is off Latest Posts you won't get any more responses. I was thinking of Samuel Pepys for the "stubborn beast, illicit looks" one but although i can see the Mule and the Pepys (peeps) I can't see where tha Sa come sfrom or what else is in the answer. Is your clue definitely exactly as given?
Question Author
Yes, the clue is exactly as given, i dont know when i will receive the answers back yet, although for example for Q35. 9, 20. Yorkshire without, empty, former stables. Healing place. Answer: St Bartholomew Hospital, i think the clue has got a type error as it looks as though 19 should have been entered instead of 9 in the question as the answer doesn't make sense otherwise, also i think more questions may contain typing errors too hence the confusement with the answers,

Hi, i think the answer to 26. Our stubborn beast. Takes an illicit look! is O'Donnell Moonshine, for the Q: Walkers to concerts i think the answer may start with wanderer, for Q 28. Do the Queen's cats make these noises here? i think the answer is Royal Mews, for the Q: He turned again, i think the answer is dick whittington, for the Q: Saxifrage, has been handed down to us, i think the asnwer is Northern Line, for the Q: Parading eg vermillion, I think the answer is Trooping the Colour, for the Q: Mogs! i think the answer is cats but im not sure if the answer is an anagram hence the answer smog, and for Q 15. Rose i think the answer is London,

I've no idea wher eyou get O Donnell Moonshine from but clearly you didn't like any of my hints regarding diary
Does O'Donnell Moonshine come from the Brigit O'Donnell character in the Beauty & the Beast TV series. I can see the ILLICIT link in that moonshine was illicit but don't see where the 'look' fits in.
Question Author
Hi, i thought that answer because 0'donnell was a famous mule spinner/ yarner in London, 0'donnell moonshine is a type of london gin, and moonshine means illicit but again i cant see where my or look fits into the answer. I thought i got this question wrong, i was also thinking the answer might be mare something but ive tried looking for where the diary clue comes into it but i cant seem to find it,
You've given two or three different answers for some of these- eg rose one (Theatres, London, Eros) , the turn again one (Lord Mayor/Dick Whittington), the walkers one and the Saxifrage one so I'm not sure which answers you submitted
Please let us know when you get the answers back, Where did you send your entry to please- might give us an idea of whose quiz it is/was?
