Where does your cat sleep overnight? If that’s not in your bedroom, does your cat cry out and maybe scratch in the hope of sleeping with you...or quietly accept spending the night in its own room?
My little darling allows me 6 inches of what he believes to be HIS bed. If Mr BM is with me he gets relegated to anywhere he fancies in the house. Altho he gets quite stroppy because he doesnt like to share me.
If he’s in, our cat starts off sleeping downstairs but may end up on my eldest daughter’s bed (quite impressive as it’s the top bunk). He’s allowed to sleep where he likes and if my eldest son is in he will sleep on his bed during the day.
We've not had a cat for the last 4 years since we lost Miggs,
https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Animals-and-Nature/Pets/Question1391773-1.html He was a Burmese not really a scabby tabby, slept where ever he fancied including sharing with the two Dobies we had at the time when it was cold. At the moment our two rescue dogs are terrier based so think another cat is not a good idea for the time being.
