If an extension is denied I foresee the Commons passing a motion to withdraw A50 entirely (which will probably be the outcome at the end of any extension because nothing will change, however long it might be). You have to remember that the Commons is 80% in favour of remaining (regardless that about 70% of their constituencies voted to leave). They have ruled out No Deal so the only alternative is No Brexit.
fair enough judge but they are running out of time for all this, and it'll take a fortnight to get an SI though to alter the exit date on the 2018 act.

You underestimate them, TTT. They may have spent nearly three years doing nothing to implement a smooth and honourable Brexit, but if they get the chance to scupper it altogether I think you'll find they will move very fast, and any inconvenient procedural impediments will disappear.
Yes Nige was on last night claiming he would be on to Benito Mussalvini or similar to do a veto, but the feeling is it’s very unlikely one country would go out on a limb like that.
What better way to take back control than by allowing our fate to be even more dramatically decided by just one of Nige's mates, huh?
Emergency legislation can be introduced, and if the House reckons that after all the threat of leaving without a Deal on March 29th is too great, then for sure it will be introduced. Nor is it a matter of "inconvenient procedural arrangements" disappearing: the rules already exist to circumvent normal time limits in matters of grave national importance, which is perfectly right and proper.
Indeed. Parliament has found itself stuck in a mess of its own making as much as the government's. Both sides seem too scared to address the issue in the ways they probably want to. For example the People's Vote campaign has argued that any move in the House for a second referendum should come only when everything else has been exhausted, although obviously they would want that move just as much now.
...ought to include honouring the Referendum result (as Parliament - not one of Nigel Farage's "mates" - promised by a vast majority of its members) by getting out of the EU.

Exactly. Even as a Remainer I am disgusted they showed no signs of actually getting on with Leaving . That way I could be confident they had done their best to mitigate my fears of the Leave consequences. Not being a total bigot, I could also see the advantages of Leaving, which would too have been a consolation. As it is, between them, Cameron and May have led this country into unmitigated chaos.
It would be the most ironic thing thing since irony was invented. (c.800BC)
The Remainiacs are already squealing about their sovereignty and nothing's happened yet.
