Andy, whoever you saw at hospital on Monday appears to be useless at their job . Thank goodness you have now received the correct treatment. So your pain had nothing to do with ( pain threshold ).severe pain is just that , severe ,.
yow, sounds like you've had some sub-optimal care there. I would have thought an X-ray really should have picked up any infection before you had the tooth pulled.

Doctor Lovely did show me the x-ray, and showed where the infection was, so why they didn't sort it when I had the extraction, I have no idea, but it seems a bit bonkers to stich up an infected cavity, which appears to be what they did.
Thanks again ladies for your kindness - I am unlike the majority of my gender in that, when I am suffering, I hate being 'looked after', I just prefer to be left alone.
That is very painful when it is infected too. They have made a mistake if they sent you off without antibiotics, but they do work quickly, so... fingers crossed xx
gness - // Doctor Lovely.........that's me way down the queue then..... :-(
You sure you don't want looking after?... ;-) //
You are never 'way down the queue' as you very well know!
If we can discuss what we mean by the term 'looking after ...' then we may be able to come to an … arrangement.
Put it this way, if you want to bring me tea in bed, and mop my fevered brow, then I'm not your guy, but as I say, the term means different things to different people ...
