When the tellers give the results of parliamentary votes they say the ayes to the and no’s to the left.Is this to do with the division lobbies being on the right or left?

The MPs gather for a vote in a chamber. At the exit end, there is a wooden plinth structure. The side that they pass the plinth, left or right, is the registration of their vote.

formulate a question correctly how would we know?

Have another slow read of the OP Jim,you may just get it.
I got it perfectly well, thank you. The OP omitted the word "right", and you repeated his spelling mistake. OK?
