Burnsall and walk down to Appletreewick along the side of the river, then back to Red Lion at Burnsall for lunch. Sorted.

Fantastic. So park up in Burnsall, find the river.. Follow it the right way to Appletreewick, then have a wonder round and walk backup the river to Burnsall pub for lunch? Sounds decent.

Views from the pub will be important. Simon's Seat sounds very fun.
Correct. If you're feeling fit, you can walk on from Ap'trick to Parcival Hall Gardens which are small but very interesting. Last time we were there (last yr) there were classical musicians at some sort of classical jam session. Chopin was wafting from the open windows and mingling with the roses.
