What is the best way to backup email messages? I use Microsoft Outlook Express 6.

In practice, the way that most offices back up e-mails is simply to print them out and file the paper copies!

To back-up individual e-mails you can save them to a CD-RW (formatted so that it acts like a giant floppy) by using 'File/Save As'.

To back-up your entire Inbox, just search for Inbox.dbx and copy this to a CD.

Thanks. I have hundreds of messages to save - it just seems a hassle trying to find the .dbx files each time, their location is not straightforward at all is it..?!
