Hi, I have gloss kitchen work tops and I have a small one which is next to the window which had scratches on it. So last year I thought I'd spray some clear lawyer on it to make it look new. Unfortunately it was not left long to dry and has water marks as well as more scratch marks. Can anyone tell me what I should? I was thinking to use clear varnish applied by brush. Thanks

I take it you mean granite worktops?

Meant to type lacquer.
Question Author
These are wooden worktops with a laminate covering.
I think you’d need to get someone in to sand them down completely and then re-coat them in an acid cat lacquer. I’d have then re done in a Matt or at least semi gloss finish. A gloss finish isn’t really practical for a kitchen.

Thanks zac-master will have to get it semi gloss. I should have gone for matt in the first place when I purchased the 3 lengths.
