Agree about the Coty L'Aimant, Tilly - only perfume my mother ever wore, and I have a bottle of it in my desk as I write, and she died 19 years ago.
Another is the malty smell of the distillery next to the Clyde, and having to do rowing in the winter at school.
Another of mine is Lily of the Valley. My Grandma's garden was full of the pungent perfume. That's why I wear Diorissimo perfume. Lily of the Valley in essence. :-)
Ha, actually I have an empty Rive Gauche on my bathroom shelf - but I never take the top off to smell it, that would make me sad. Can't bring myself to throw it out though...
