Amazon Fire Stick

I have a Fire Stick but am struggling to see how it works. I can find programmes I want to watch but then don't understand how I download them. I have put them on my watch list but can't seem to see how I actually watch them. Do I need to subscribe to Amazon Prime in order to watch anything? I particularly want to watch programmes on All4 but can't see that anywhere. TIA

Oh dear I will be watching with interest. We are supposed to be getting a Fire Stick as a present soon.

No, you don't NEED Prime...but you will get a lot more if you DO have it.As for All4....have you got the free download?

Thanks for your answers. I have gone to Amazon Apps and selected All4 then I get caught in a loop. I have read the instructions and it tells me to buy now but that option isn't appearing on the screen. I am still stuck
