dunno about romantic but its all lovely! if you're planning a trip we've stayed in Polzeath which is very nice....the next village is Rock which is lovely and a favourite of William and Harry apparently! From here you can take the boat across the bay to Padstow which is very pretty. The whole area has great beaches, lovely cliff top walks, good food and lovely pubs. We also drove to Port Isaac for a few hours which is a small, pretty village and the location for the ITV series Doc Martin and Polzeath is also within driving distance to go to Newquay for the day so i'd suggest the area as a good base.

Thanks mkt, sounds lovely. Going on honeymoon and want somewhere special.
congrats cookie monster! the south west is a beautiful part of the country. If you're going for a week or so and have the car there are plenty of places within range.....from North Cornwall (as in prevous post) you are within an hour or two of many places in Somerset, Devon and Dorset,so could visit places like Taunton, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Bude, Exeter.....
Go to Fowey as well ! Beautiful Cornish natural harbour , stay there and you've got the Eden project / Mevvagissey / even the King of Prussia to drink in!!
Cornwall.........lovely area..........all you really need is the right company to make it perfect.
Enjoy!

congrats on the impending.

i know a romantic lay-by in devon!! oh arh.

go ST Just in roseland, it is beautiful area,

Have a great life.

I've just come back from a week in cornwall, we went to polperro which is close to looe and a very nice village/harbour.

And also went to clovelly in north devon its a beautiful village owned privately by a family, its very steep with cobbled streets and no traffic.

The people that live there take there shopping/supplies to there homes by sledge? I think i saw a sign saying that you can also stay in the village.

Try this its better than me explaining it?

From my experience in Cornwall (I live in Devon, so it's quite handy to visit!) I much prefer the North Coast. I would have to agree totally with mkt - Polzeath is a lovely little place, and in good weather, the coastline is amazing. Lots of small interesting places very close by, and if you've got the time, there are lots of other places worth seeing within driving distance that mkt mentions. Find a nice base and go exploring further down into Cornwall too - The Lizard, Lands End etc

the most romantic place in cornwall has to be carnbrea castle near redruth it is situated near the massive monument that you can see from the A30.It is in the village of Carnkie. It is an old hunting lodge dating back to the 15th century and is now a fantastic restaurant. It is one of those places that you instantly fall in love with and return time and time again. Many congrats and have a wonderful life
