Can anyone suggest or reccommend a company that does overseas car rental which allows, for a REASONABLE price, two drivers to be named. Most of the quotes I am getting seem to end up with the second driver surcharge being more than the cost of the initial rental - I may as well rent two cars! I'm going to Madeira for a week.

Have you tried Hholiday Autos (.co.uk or .com, depending on where you are) ? I have never tried for two drivers but I seem to remember they used to say there was no extra charge for most/all destinations.

Too late to help you, and glad your transaction went smoothly, but for everybody else's benefit: I rented from http://malaysia.rentalcars24h.com/ last September. Just to report back about them, we were very happy with the service we received in the end - the agent helped us, company that we choose promised no extra payments or hidden fees. We found this service to be great to deal with.
