Time Puzzle

Your watch is playing up again. It was correct at midnight but since then it has lost exactly 8 minutes every hour. The watch stopped an hour ago in the afternoon showing 4.15. What is the correct time now?

if you multiply 16.25 by 8 ,that gives you the minutes that have been lost . Add that to 5.15 and that's the time now . would work it out for but I'm having my tea at present . !

its 7.45

watch shows 16hrs 15 mins = 975 mins
divide by 52 because hr passes for every 52 mins on watch = 18.75 hrs
+ 1 = 19.75hrs

When the watch stopped showing 4.15 the actual time was 6.25. As that was an hour ago the time now is 7.25.

thanks sarumite but now im not so sure

ive done it as though the watch loses 8 minutes for every real hour but perhaps it means that the watch is 8 minutes behind when it shows an hour has passed
