Callous child killer with previous convictions - should be 27 years IMHO.

He'll be out in 3½, less if Daddy pulls strings.

No, it isn't enough.
It clearly is not enough - but he changed his plea, so that is what the law indicates as the sentence with a guilty plea entered.
Rarely do I agree with much of what you say Canary but in this case I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments.
You don't know he'll be out in 3 1/2. I really hope he isn't. If he's as arrogant and selfish as that article states he might run into a fair bit of trouble.
as you say should have got a much higher sentence, a callous individual.
I hope and pray he suffers horribly in jail. I don't think much of his stupid adoptive parents either, speaking out for him in Court - morons !!
Nowhere near enough.
His attitude towards the child at the time of the event not only shows a serious lack of intelligence but it also shows an arrogant characteristic which may cause problems for the general public. I wonder if seven years is enough time to break down the ego of this murderer.
Not nearly long enough.

I struggle to understand the behaviour of the child's mother who must have known what an arrogant thug she was seeing. Why didn't she protect the child?
For all we know, she was scared of him.
drmorgans - scared, controlled.

Outsiders might see happiness but the truth is usually hidden.
Pathetic sentence, but hopefully it will be 7 years of constantly looking over his shoulder for the next beating.
Yep..selfish, arrogant, child killer. He will be put in his place pretty sharpish.
So much for the so called ‘civilised society’ I am constantly reminded we live in on this site.
I am sure Alfie didn’t form that opinion for his short life.
