The good news is that we are all of us not mad, just highly inventive and curious, and these thoughts all part of the process of discovery and testing our limitations. This is something we seem to be programmed do from birth, and kids are often quite naughty out of the pure principle of seeing what will happen when.........
In order to know that we shouldn't step off the balcony, we have to actively think about doing so first, and then remind ourselves to stop, but we have to have the 'falling off' thought first, and evidently we shouldn't dwell on that idea for too long! Presumably lemmings haven't evolved yet to get to that highly vital 'second idea' - pity!
The mobile phone on the bridge thing is an absolute classic and I think somebody should invent the 'floating mobile' just in case too many of us can't resist this urge! In fact I've got three old mobiles so maybe I should just get it out of my system. I think it would be quite nice though if they were all ringing as they went over....
Great post.

If ever one of my children was late home, I'd imagine an awful scenario, like they'd been in an accident, and then picture the police turning up to break the terrible news. Then the grief and the funeral to sort and deal with. Terrible, morbid thought. Am I alone on this one?
Really shouldn't admit this one but here goes................
I'm single at the moment (no wonder, you'll all say when you read this bit) but when I think about performing a B.J
I think about sinking my teeth in! I've never had this thought when I was in a relationship so have absolutely no idea why I think about it now! Crikey, it's a good job no one knows who I am or I'd never get a b/f now would I? Am female btw.

someone said about turning off ignition while car running. well, not long after i passed my test i wondered this, and going down a steep hill i decided to try it. no problem, until i tried to cruise around the corner and my steering lock came on!! luckily id slowed down to take the corner, and there was a 'straight ahead' way to go too, dread to think what coulda happened!!
