There were loads and loads of turkeys/crowns etc in Sainsburys and Tesco today if anyone still needs one and can't get there until tomorrow. I don't think the supermarkets will be running out
Was at Waitrose at 7.30 this a.m.....quite busy, but since I self-scan (as I go around with a "gun") it was easy, no waiting in queues and even had my free coffee and paper. All done.
A few bits and pieces (e.g. couple of grandkids today ate all the garlic bread for Boxing Day so I need to replace it) plus a few standards of yoghurts etc. Not a lot; if I haven't got it we'll do without and we'll still live. :)
Just catching the start of 'A Christmas Carol' (BBC1) and turned it smartly off - horrible language. Interpretations are one thing (Muppets etc.) but this is an instant 'No'. Sorry to disrupt thread.
Son and I have dared each other to have a pre breakfast dip in the sea at Mellieah bay. Late breakfast then Christmas carols from local schools and church from the village. Mince pie and mulled wine in the foyer.
Christmas dinner about 1730. Turkey sprouts roasties the lot. Entertainment and drinks to the early hours. Beautiful bright sunshine, gentle breeze and 18c. Fantastic.
Don't do anything different - don't do Christmas - hate it and even on fb and ab every post is about it - surely there must be others that are not remotely interested in all the hype and are already fed up with it.
only thing I had on my to do list today was get some logs and coal, which I've done, and fire looking very nice and warm. Delivered presents earlier cleaned MIL's downstairs as her normal cleaner is away for Christmas so all done and settling down to long gin and tonic.
