Snowflakes - And Not Just On Mountains
57 Answers
Some of the visitors to the Tower of London have decided that it isn’t child friendly because its history is just too gruesome. Others visiting Mount Snowdon have complained that it’s too steep, that it doesn’t offer wheelchair access, and one suggested that the paths be concreted to offer easier access. It’s a friggin’ mountain for goodness sake!

Should we whitewash history and concrete over mountains to suit the precious - or should we tell them to put a sock in it and get a life?

I remember some of my History classes asking why History was horrible sometimes. The questioners were inevitably nice little girls, but the other half of the form (boys) lapped up the gruesome bits. 'Sorry, I can't change facts to suit sensibilities' was my usual response. The other, general, one was that you can't study the Arts in any form and be mealy-minded. I think that this is what is happening, and it won't 'do'.
